Well the New Year came and went we hope you all had a fab time over the festivities! The Young Ted team downed tools and headed to the ‘Big Smoke’ to check out the fireworks that take place every year near the London Eye! One word… Wow!! Fireworks were brilliant and well worth the wait, the whole team had a fabulous couple of days in London a lot of laughs and ideas mused over a glass of wine or three! Great to catch up properly and spending some quality time with not only work colleagues but also fantastic friends!
Well we hope this year brings lots of luck and happiness to all our Young Ted followers. We have some great things planned for 2015, we won’t talk about journeys and finding the right path, suffice to say we hope we got some great new designs on some quality garments that you’ll enjoy wearing… job done!
To start the year off we, and apologies for not posting this earlier, we currently have 20% off all our products at www.youngted.com, until the end of January ’15, just pop in the code NEWYEAR20 when at the checkout. Lovely Jubbly! The lovely Alexa did and was well chuffed with her hoodie purchase, keeping her nice and cosy during these winter nights! Thanks Alexa and hope for big things for you in the coming year!
Anyway we’re off to polish off the remaining Twiglets and wine and sit down with a good box set that will hopefully get the creative juices flowing! Be good!
All hands to the pump here at the Young Ted shed HQ! We still working to get our new winter togs ready before Xmas so you lovely Young Tedders will have the opportunity to purchase and wear on the big day and beyond! Or maybe buy as a lovely Xmas purchase for someone special in your life. Maybe one of our new slouchy’s modelled here by the lovely Emily, would do the trick? Stay tuned for more new stuff and we are definitely getting into the Xmas spirit (yep the brandy and the mince pies have already been opened!) as we’ll be doing a cheeky opening discount to celebrate the holiday season! Cue the music… jingle bells, jingle bells,
So we were well chuffed here at Young Ted Towers to take advantage of the unseasonably warm late october weather to get our latest photo shoot completed, but did have a chuckle to ourselves thinking that if this warm weather continues our new winter range of clothing won’t exactly be flying off the shelves! There’s always our tees still available on the website! As we continue to prep the new hoodies, sweats and slouches, a couple of brass monkeys have begun to ask about our new range… winter has just started to remind us it’s on its way! Hopefully a hoodie or one of our range of sweatshirts will keep the chill at bay and keep you cosy throughout winter! The new range will be up on our website very soon, and keep an eye out for some exciting news on an early Xmas discount!
Since launching the Young Ted Brand we have met some lovely people both in person and across all forms of Social Media, it is amazing how some people bend over backwards to help you out and part with some excellent and knowledgeable advice for a new start up. It is all very much appreciated! The brand continues to get some positive feedback and we receive some great comments and also some fabulous selfies that always bring a smile to our faces, there are too many to thanks in a quick blog update, but they are all massively appreciated! We have added a couple of pics here from a couple of our current followers/customers, thanks Sammy and Bailey! This week we will be finalising our new stock for our winter range, stay tuned!! YT
It’s been a while since I last put up a blog so I thought I rectify that! To be honest I just don’t know where the time has gone! I need more hours in the day!
Well Young Ted continues to go from strength to strength, it’s been a fab few months moving the brand forward, meeting new people and receiving some brilliant tips from some really helpful people, it really has been much appreciated.
The brand has, so far, received some really good feedback; it does make the effort and hard work you put in worthwhile. It’s always a real boon when you get a nice tweet or message saying how much someone likes a particular tee or design; we just hope we can carry on producing some great designs for you to wear and enjoy!
This week, amongst all the footy and tennis watching, we have actually done some work, we even thought it was about time we got our thinking caps on and started to think about some new designs, so the Young Ted team have been burning the midnight oil (in the pub, so left the cat at home!) and are well on the way to sorting some new tees that we hope will be released real soon. We have a thing about British comedy, as you are probably aware, so the new designs will again focus on a couple of classics that have tickled the funny bone throughout the decades and continue to do so today! Stay tuned!
For us Social Media has been a godsend! We have met and conversed with so many fab people, many of them customers, who have in their own way moved the business along, either with a kind comment, a hint or tip, or in fact buying a tee or hoodie from us.
There are a far too many to mention but there are a few who deserve to be recognised who have helped in the first few months of us finding our feet and trying to move the business forward; thanks to Sinead, Sasha, Ledele and Anna-Julia, for taking the time out to help with promotional activities and for believing in the brand and wearing YT with pride! Thanks guys! To our fantastic models Emily & Simon, who we used for our first photo shoot (great memories!), and who were professional, fun and great to work with, guys you have been brilliant from day one! Em, as always you are always there when needed! And lastly, to my gorgeous wife! Who continues to inspire me to follow my dreams, coax me in the right directions and help out wherever needed. I couldn’t do this without you, love always, Hx.
There are many more, who no doubt I will get round to mentioning, but suffice to say so far, thanks for everything.
Following on from the above, via Social Media I’ve got to know a couple of people who have bent over backwards to help Young Ted out, who have asked for nothing in return, and have been a pleasure to work with. After sending out a couple of tees for promotional purposes, we were gobsmacked to receive some pictures of said tees, taking by the very talented, professional photographer, Adi Dewey (www.adriandewey.com), and modelled by the gorgeous and equally talented Vicky B (check out her blog vickyb1987.blogspot.co.uk)!
It does restore your faith in human nature, when people go the extra mile to help someone out. Guys I can’t thank you enough, and I hope to keep in touch with you both.
They say inspiration comes in many forms, but I think one of the main reasons was watching one of my best friends, Steph (who now runs two excellent companies Barmy Dog Clothing and Peach Branding!), leave a well paid job and strive out on her own and to follow her own dream! She showed me it can be achieved, it’s just taking that first step! Thanks Queenie!
Well after a bit of soul searching and ditching a few ideas that came and went, an idea finally stuck and hey presto Young Ted Clothing was born! After the initial false starts, teething problems (there still hanging around somewhere!) and logistical issues we finally came up with some early logo designs and put them on a couple of tees… a start of, I hope, an adventure that will be filled with excitement, more ups and downs I hope, and hopefully bringing you, the customer, some great garments and designs that you want to be seen in! Right I’ve started, pull down the safety barrier, let the ride begin!
